Empowering the Future of Guidance: QUAHVET Multiplier Events Across Europe

Four national events united partners, practitioners, and students to promote quality guidance in Higher Vocational Education and Training (HVET).

Between September and October 2025, the QUAHVET partners organised national Multiplier Events across Greece, Spain, Sweden, and Italy, bringing together more than 350 participants including educators, guidance counsellors, policymakers, students, and employers.
These events showcased the project’s key results and shared practical lessons on strengthening the visibility, quality, and cooperation within the Higher VET (EQF level 5) sector.

QUAHVET Multiplier Events aimed to spread the project’s core message: career guidance is not only about information, but about connection, cooperation, and quality.
Through presentations, interactive workshops, and open discussions, participants explored how improved guidance can help young people make informed decisions and discover the real opportunities within HVET.

Each event adapted the QUAHVET approach to local needs — yet the message was consistent across all countries:
to build bridges between schools, universities, and HVET institutions, while empowering counsellors and teachers with tools that make guidance more inclusive, transparent, and aligned with labour market needs.

Highlights from the Four Countries

  • Greece – Patras (26 September 2025)
Organised by p-consulting.gr, the event “Digital Innovation & Career: The Vision of QUAHVET” gathered education professionals, students, and representatives of local authorities and enterprises.
Participants explored the HVET Digital Gateway and the Quality Assurance Model, discussing how digital tools can improve cooperation and lifelong guidance.
  • Spain – Bilbao (17 October 2025)
Hosted by HETEL and Jesuitak Politeknikoa, “Tu futuro en tus manos” brought together around 100 participants.
The event focused on student empowerment, self-guidance, and the importance of high-quality counselling.
Teachers and counsellors valued the project’s materials, noting they would use them in their future work with students.
  • Sweden – Uppsala (23 October 2025)
Led by Folkuniversitetet, the event “QUAHVET: Framtidens vägledning för Yrkeshögskolan” gathered HVET teachers, guidance counsellors, and employment representatives.
Participants gained new perspectives on collaboration and learned how to use the project’s tools to inspire students and strengthen links between education and work.
  • Italy – Bergamo (22 October 2025)
Organised by Ilmiolavoro srl and ITS Academy “Giulio Natta”, the event “Orientare al futuro” attracted over 130 attendees, most of them upper secondary students.
Discussions focused on the growing relevance of ITS pathways, the connection with industry needs, and how the QUAHVET partnership contributes to increasing the attractiveness of Higher Technical Education in Italy.

Across all four events, several common insights emerged:

  • Collaboration is key. Sustainable guidance requires continuous cooperation between educators, counsellors, and employers.
  • Digital tools strengthen accessibility. Platforms like the HVET Digital Gateway help students and counsellors navigate opportunities more effectively.
  • Guidance must be inclusive. Quality counselling should reach every learner and challenge traditional stereotypes.
  • Continuous improvement matters. Institutions should use feedback and self-assessment models to ensure lasting impact.

The Multiplier Events marked an important milestone for QUAHVET — not just in dissemination, but in building a community committed to quality guidance, inclusion, and lifelong learning.
The feedback gathered confirms that the project’s tools and methodologies will continue to support educators and students beyond its lifetime, ensuring that Higher VET becomes a visible, trusted, and future-ready choice for learners across Europe.
